Someone You Should Know

Lynn Johnson has just completed two terms (six years) as a dedicated member of our NAMI DuPage board. She first came to NAMI to take the Family-to-Family class and felt it was so valuable, she trained to teach the class and has done so since 2004. Lynn was one of the initial family speakers at the Hospital Recovery program at Linden Oaks. She has served on the Spring Benefit committee for five years, the Finance committee and chairs the Board Development committee.

Lynn grew up in Arlington Heights and has lived in Naperville for the last several years. She is the mom of two adult sons, both of whom are engaged to be married in the next several months!

Lynn received her B.S. from the University of Illinois and has been in the insurance industry for 37 years where she holds both CLU and ChFc designations. She has been with Dressander and Associates in Naperville for seven years serving as an annuity wholesaler. When not working or volunteering for NAMI, Lynn enjoys visiting family Colorado and California, gardening, music, reading, and old houses. She belongs to a book club, participates in one choir at her church and directs another. Lynn strongly believes in giving back to your community; however you may define it, through activities you enjoy. Lynn certainly puts that belief into practice and NAMI is grateful for her contributions.
