Chicago area attorney and popular TV host Frank Avila of Issue Forum interviews Susie Piasecki from NAMI's (National Alliance on Mental Illness) "In Our Own Voice" speakers bureau. While NAMI of DuPage provided speakers and information on Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia including diagnosis, prevention, causes, treatment, and successful living strategies, the focus of this program is Bipolar Disorder issues. These shows combine scientific and medical information with practical real life cases and powerful solutions. The three current shows that Frank Avila does with NAMI are a must see for anyone with mental illness or a family member of loved one with mental illness. Frank Avila and Issue Forum try to educate and inform their viewing audience on mental illness and try to erase the stigma so individuals and families can seek treatment.

Issue Forum "NAMI National Alliance on Mental Illness" - 59:00  - Dec 21, 2008
Frank Avila & Anisa Peraica talk with Pat Doyle, Education Program Director & Mary Lou Lowry, former Executive Director of NAMI DuPage. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, has over 1,200 local affiliates of individuals with a mental illness and family members and friends of persons with brain disorders. There are over 40 such groups in Illinois.
