Social and Support Groups for the Mentally Ill and Their Families

Drop-In Center (Naperville) Riverwalk Community Center 305 W. Jackson Naperville, IL 60540	Wednesdays: 6PM-9PM The Drop-In Center provides leisure activities for adults with mental illness. Family members may attend. Dinner is provided. Sara: 681-0962 for schedule & more information.
Drop-In Center (Westmont) Westmont Community Center (lower level) 75 E. Richmond Westmont, IL 60559	Sundays: Noon to 4PM The Drop-In Center provides social time for adults with mental illness in a relaxed program. Lunch is provided. Clients can sign up for outings. Special Recreation Associations

Village and park district cooperatives offer social and recreational activities for residents of all ages who have special needs -- emotional, physical, mental or from some other or multiple cause. Fees vary, some offer scholarships.

Various other support groups for consumers and for families are available through the DuPage County Health Department, 627-1700, and the hospitals that treat the mentally ill. Refer to Appendix C for a list of hospitals serving DuPage County.
