Planting Seeds of Hope... for NAMI!

We thought you'd enjoy reading of one NAMI supporter's fresh approach to growing support for NAMI. Christine not only has raised money... she also has cultivated an awareness and appreciation of NAMI among her friends and neighbors. We are most grateful!

Dear Angela,

Enclosed is a check for $278. This amount represents monies collected from my personal project: selling my heirloom tomatoes and pepper, with all monies collected going to NAMI DuPage County.

I love to garden and started over 500 plants from seed, grew them in my kitchen, transplanted them into peat pots with soil, marked each variety, and sold them to my neighbors, friends and acquaintances.

I have donated all materials for the soil, pots and markers, so all the sales proceeds are going directly to your organization!

As you may have guessed, I am a very strong supporter of NAMI DuPage. The tremendous

outreach and support that NAMI brings to our community have inspired me to respond in this very tangible way, so these invaluable support and educational programs can be continued.
