NAMI DuPage Announces New Support Group for Parents

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) DuPage is pleased to announce a new support group for parents/caregivers of children and adolescents who are struggling with mental illness.  You can download the Support Group Flyer.

The support group will meet once a month at the NAMI DuPage office located at 2100 Manchester Road, Building B, Suite 925 in Wheaton, IL.  The group will meet from 7:30-9:00 P.M. on the fourth Monday of each month and will be led by parents of young adults who developed mental illness as children or adolescents.

The emphasis will be on sharing emotional support and suggestions for coping with the challenges of parenting a mentally ill child.  There is no fee to attend and no reservations are needed.

This group meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm at the NAMI DuPage office.  No registration is necessary and everyone is welcome at any of the meetings.

We ask that only those with college age or younger children attend.

For more information, contact the NAMI office at (630) 752-0066, ext. 210.
